Thanks to Everyone...

I would like to thank the citizens of Carlisle for entrusting me with this position. There is a lot of work ahead and I am anxious to get started. I hold fast to the belief that our system of government is a representative one. With that in mind, I look forward to hearing from those I serve so I can represent their ideas for a better Carlisle. Thank you to all those family and friends who volunteered their time and energies to see the idea of this positive step for our city become a reality.

Who do I vote for? What are the Wards in Carlisle? And what ward am I in?

There seems to be some confusion about voting and wards etc. and for whom anybody in Carlisle can vote. I am hoping this will help.

First...there are three wards in Carlisle. Each ward is like a piece of pie. The whole city is the whole pie. Each candidate has a choice either to run in a ward or "at-large".

If I choose to run in my ward...it must be the ward in which I live. And only people who live in my ward can vote for me. If I choose to run "at-large", then anyone in the city of Carlisle can vote for me.

I have chosen to run in ward 1; that's where I live.

If you live in ward one, you can vote for me, AND YOU CAN STILL VOTE FOR CHAD JOHNSON AS AN AT-LARGE CANDIDATE. You can vote for the ward candidate of your choice AND any at-large candidate. It's not an either or thing.

Soooo! Here are the nominees:

Ward 1 (Meadowlark, Sunset, Ethelrob, Junior, Glen, Zella, Nattix, Mount, Welcome Way, Gross St., Hillcrest, Eagle Ridge and streets in those areas)

BRYAN GREEN VS. Mary Ann Thompson

Ward 2 (Beachler, Timothy, Michael, Roberts, Robert, Baker subdivision and Sheri, Poinciana, Marty Lee and surrounding streets)

SCOTT BOSCHERT VS. Sharon Shelton

Ward 3 (Janet, Dale, Fairview, Auburn Meadows, Aspen Ct, Joshua, Moses, Robert Simmons, Lincoln etc.)

RICH SMITH VS. Randy Winkler

AT LARGE---ALL OF CARLISLE---

CHAD JOHNSON VS Dennis Bowles VS Cheryl Sweezy.

Just in case it's not perfectly clear, EVERYONE LIVES IN ONE WARD AND ONLY IN ONE WARD. So you will only have one vote for a ward candidate depending upon which ward you live in and you will still be able to vote for an at large candidate. You just can't vote for either of the two wards in which YOU DON"T LIVE.

For more information, please visit the board of elections website or simply click on the link: http://www.co.warren.oh.us/bdelec/index.asp

There, you can click on general information and scroll down to the FAQ link. Click on the third link on the next page and you can input your name or address and it will show if you are registered to vote. Look toward the very bottom of the second box and there you will see which ward you are registered in.

I hope this helps. If anybody has a question, please don't be hesitant to contact me. I really just want to see a good turnout for our city.

Win or lose my race, if 600 people turn out to vote, we will all win. My goal is 1000. Get the word out!!!
